Weekend Betting Tips – 18th November 2017

Weekend Betting Tips for Arsenal v Spurs, the BetVictor Gold Cup and Atletico Madrid v Real Madrid

Domestic football returns this weekend, which means we have plenty of sporting action to enjoy. The Premier League action gets under way at the Emirates, where Arsenal face Tottenham. The highlight of Saturday’s racing action is the BetVictor Gold Cup at Cheltenham, while the Madrid derby on Saturday night should get plenty of attention. Ahead of those, we’ve previewed each event and picked out a betting tip on each.

Arsenal v Spurs – Yet Another North London Stalemate

Arsenal pit their perfect home record against Spurs’ improved fortunes on their travels in this weekend’s North London derby. Tottenham have upped their game away from home after their switch to Wembley, while Arsenal have been in fantastic form at the Emirates this season. With both teams flying, could they cancel each other out in this derby clash?

We can see this being a tight game, after all Mauricio Pochettino’s men have been slightly more pragmatic in recent big games. They’ve played that way in recent trips to Arsenal, with the last three ending 1-1. We can see the same again here, with a repeat of that result priced at 13/2 with BetVictor.

Betting Tip: 1-1 Draw at 13/2 with BetVictor

BetVictor Gold Cup – Who Will Triumph From Open Field?

There’s no clear favourite ahead of this year’s BetVictor Gold Cup, with Kylemore Lough leading the way as a 7/1 shot. There’s not a huge amount between the frontrunners for this one, so we sense an opportunity to pick up some value ahead of this race. It’s seen as one that could be open for a possible upset, but we’re not going too crazy with our pick heading in to this one.

We are siding with third favourite Romain de Senam here, following an impressive couple of results. He is priced at 10/1 with Coral to finish top of the pile here, and we think that’s a great price. He has hit the ground running of late, managing two wins from two in October, form which should see the five-year-old kick on this weekend. With a wide open field, we are backing Romain de Senam for glory at Cheltenham.

Betting Tip: Romain de Senam to win 10/1 with Coral

Atletico Madrid v Real Madrid – Can Real Become the Wanda’s First Victorious Visitors?

After making an unbeaten start at home in the league, so Spanish side has won away at Atletico Madrid’s new stadium. That only adds to the occasion ahead of this weekend’s Madrid derby, with Real hoping their impressive away form will see them to the points here. Having won four of their five league trips, the Spanish champions pose a serious threat here.

Atletico haven’t been able to match up to elite opposition this season, as shown by their poor Champions League displays. They’ve drawn at home to Barcelona and Sevilla, and this might just be their first defeat. With Real tending to see plenty of goals on the road, we’re backing a 2-1 victory for the visitors at 8/1 with Coral.

Betting Tip: Real to win 2-1 at 8/1 with Coral
